Tin man

Di solito non mi piacciono cose come queste, ma Tin Man fa eccezione. Di che cosa sto parlando? Beh, si tratta di una serie televisiva americana, o di una mini-serie per essere più precisi, ispirata al Mago di Oz. Dico "ispirata" e non tratta per un buon motivo: Tin Man è infatti una fantasiosa rielaborazione in chiave fantastica – fantascientifica, quasi cyberpunk, e se si riesce a superae il primo istante di sconcerto e si accetta che la strega comandi le truppe di Guerre Stellari, il risultato è gradevole.
DG è una ragazza del Kansas, cresciuta dal padre e la madre con bizzarre storie della loro infanzia e che inizia a sentirsi stretta la provincia. Azkadellia è la sorella cattiva della regina Amidala, nonché strega che governa su OZ (l’Oltre Zona).
Quando gli scagnozzi neonazisti della strega arrivano nel Kansas per uccidere DG, i genitori la spingono nel tornado e la ragazza si risveglia ad OZ, viene catturata dagli ewok e incontra lo spaventapasseri alla ricerca del cervello, che qui è stato trasformato in un dissidente politico, l’ex consigliere della regina, lobotomizzato dalla strega. E così, l’omino di latta in cerca di un cuore è un ex-poliziotto che ha passato gli ultimi anni chiuso in una corazza metallica sul luogo dove l’attuale capo delle guardie ha ucciso la sua famiglia. Il leone in cerca del coraggio è un sensitivo fuggito dalle prigioni della strega. E la strega stessa non vuole conquistare Emerald City, ma uno smeraldo necessario per far funzionare una macchina bellica. E cos’è il mago di Oz se non un ex mistico ora uomo di spettacolo drogato dalla strega? E il cane Toto… no, non ho il cuore di dirvelo.
Discreto cast, scenografie visionarie, effetti speciali onesti e commisurati al budget (guardare ed imparare cosa significa inserire un effetto solo se si è in grado di farlo bene), sceneggiatura di un pazzo.
Da vedere.
