"All this he saw, for one moment breathless and intense, vivid on the morning sky; and still, as he looked, he lived; and still, as he lived, he wondered."
This week I was talking with a colleague about Agentic AI (no rest for the wicked, I know), and she was expressing a bit of frustration at some of the dynamics at play in the AEC industry, 'cause she's not a programmer and she claims...
A few weeks ago, in one of those happy convergences of life, I was reading an Italian essay on Italo Calvino and artificial intelligence (I wrote about it here), and there's a very interesting set of passages that have to do with our contemporary obsession...
Last week, in a fit of despair, I published a piece that touched on a few questions around open formats and proprietary formats, specifically asking whether it was legitimate or advisable for a contracting authority to require the delivery of a model in proprietary format...

Last week, I was organising my thoughts around a lesson for a client, and the lesson was aimed at Project Managers, so it had a little bit on what does it mean to manage a BIM project and a little bit of practical insight on...
Paul Valéry rejected inspiration as miracle, seeing creativity as the discipline of thought in motion. This week, we parallel his notion of mental “operations” with computational procedures in design: iteration, optimisation, constraint, and recombination, and challenge the dichotomy between intuition and automation. Drawing on contemporary...
Some people asked me what I think of AI in the new Revit 2027. Other people asked me what I think of the entire Autodesk Cloud ecosystem being rebranded as Forma. More people requested I express an opinion on the lack of mention to agentic...
