Gino Sarfatti, 2097 (in Revit)

Ieri abbiamo tenuto la nostra terza lezione del modulo verticale BIM.LightingDesign e ci siamo divertiti a creare in Revit un oggetto mediamente complesso: il lampadario 2097 di Gino Sarfatti, disegnato nel 1958 per la sua Arteluce.

Non è stata una lezione di design e, purtroppo, la stessa parte tecnica ha dovuto essere compressa in appena due ore, ma rimodellare un oggetto spesso ci consente di comprendere più a fondo l’intento progettuale di chi l’ha concepito, se prestiamo attenzione e siamo in grado di leggere le regole sottese alle geometrie. Nella costruzione del 2097, attualmente prodotto da Flos, le origini veneziane di Gino Sarfatti emergono con prepotenza.

In particolare, due sono le ispirazioni per questo lampadario:

  • la prima sono gli chandelier tradizionali veneziani, di cui Sarfatti riprende la composizione a bracci e le proporzioni tra i sistemi dei bracci stessi;
  • la seconda viene dalla conquista dello spazio e in particolare dallo sputnik: si tratta di un oggetto che ebbe una profonda influenza sui designer del tempo e alcuni lampadari progettati tra gli anni ’50 e gli anni ’60 sono appunto amichevolmente noti come “sputnik”.

Il lampadario è tutt’ora in produzione da Flos, che acquistò l’Arteluce di Sarfatti nel 1973, e viene proposto in tre finiture per la struttura (ottone, cromo e nero opaco) ma soprattutto in tre dimensioni:

  • il 2097/18, che misura 510 mm di altezza;
  • il 2097/30, che misura 720 mm di altezza;
  • il 2097/50, che misura 880 mm di altezza.

Abbiamo scelto questo lampadario perché consente di rinfrescare una grandissima quantità di tecniche di modellazione e parametrizzazione.

L’oggetto finito, insieme alle componenti nidificate, è condiviso nella cartella di Drive. Grazie a Giorgio Marongiu che ha realizzato il componente e ha tenuto buona parte della lezione.
