"All this he saw, for one moment breathless and intense, vivid on the morning sky; and still, as he looked, he lived; and still, as he lived, he wondered."

Complex system = system which defies any single person’s ability to see the system as a whole and understand how all the pieces fit together.

I principi dello sviluppo in sicurezza, in DevOps, sono quattro:

  1. Il lavoro complesso è gestito in modo tale da rivelare e rendere trasparenti i problemi di progettazione e di utilizzo dei prodotti;
  2. I problemi vengono aggrediti e risolti, in modo da costruire rapidamente nuove conoscenze (un principio a se stante, quello del cosiddetto swarming, di cui magari ci occuperemo in qualcuno dei prossimi appuntamenti);
  3. Nuove conoscenze che sono emerse durante lo sviluppo dei progetti vengono sfruttate sulla scala dell’intera organizzazione;
  4. I leader creano nuovi leader the continuino ad accrescere le capacità.

I wanted to read this series after seeing the delightful movie on Netflix, which would have been worth it if only for the stellar cast. After I started, I couldn’t possibly stop. I think I read the whole thing in a month. Here’s what I

Summertime (though the living ain’t easy)

There is a particular kind of August laziness that likes to dress itself up as a fashionable pose: you can’t undertake significant projects in August, you’re not supposed to, apparently, you aren’t even supposed to read anything that’s too complicated (though I wonder, if you
