Byung-Chul Han è un filosofo tedesco contemporaneo nato in Corea, la cui opera esplora la trasformazione della soggettività, del potere e delle relazioni sociali nelle società tardo-moderne e digitali . Ho già parlato di due sue opere: Nello Sciame (qui), che si concentra in particolare sugli effetti della comunicazione digitale sulla percezione, la politica e la vita relazionale, e La Salvezza del Bello (qui), un saggio di estetica attraverso le lenti di ciò che è considerato liscio e ruvido, pornografico o erotico, digitale e fisico.

Oggi vi consiglio La società della trasparenza, un altro dei suoi testi fondamentali, in cui dalle prime pagine parla di “inferno dell’uguale”, di feticizzazione e totalizzazione della trasparenza tramite la riduzione di azioni a ciò che può essere misurato, tassato e controllato. Quando parliamo di KPI e di misurazione del soggettivo, dell’emozionale, dell’incommensurabile, Byung-Chul Han sta camminando accanto a noi.
