"All this he saw, for one moment breathless and intense, vivid on the morning sky; and still, as he looked, he lived; and still, as he lived, he wondered."

On the Twelfth Day of Christmas, my True Love Gave to Me…

On the twelfth day of Christmas
my true love sent to me:
Twelve Drummers Drumming
Eleven Pipers Piping
Ten Lords a-Leaping
Nine Ladies Dancing
Eight Maids a-Milking
Seven Swans a-swimming
Six Geese a-Laying
Five Golden Rings
Four Calling Birds
Three French Hens
Two Turtle Doves
and a Partridge in a Pear Tree

I am really sad that this is over. Like a lot.

So here you have your selection of twelve drummers drumming, as we approach the end of festivities.

1. Shona MacDonald

Co-creator of Mireog, she brings us these twelve drummers that are drumming their heart away on the last day of Christmas.

2. Charlie Best

They are drummers. They are drumming. There’s twelve of them. What else do you need?

3. Amelia Leonards

As usual, in case you’re feeling strange because it’s not birds, Ameluria has you covered.

4. Elizabeth Moriarty

She is an award-winning Welsh artist based in Wolvercote, Oxford, and a member of the  Oxford Printmakers. She usually does wildlife and livestock subjects, but take a look at her drummers.

That was our last day, people! But tomorrow there’s stuff happening, last gifts arriving and (at least in Italy) a nice old little hag brings them, flying on her broom.
