Nightcrawler 10 - The Winding Way

Ma è seriamente una buona idea comprare un albo solo per una storia ambientata nel passato, ma così tanto nel passato che dovrebbe esserci indifferente? Non saprei, ma non sono mai stata famosa per le mie buone idee…

#4 e conclusione
(Saviour #4 e conclusione da Wolverine: Origins #9 e #10 del febbraio e del marzo 2007). Isanove cita la memorabile copertina di Quesada per Wolverine: Origins di Jenkins, con un primo piano di questa mano dalle unghie nere e dotata di due artigli, con un non trascurabile indizio di sangue che scende dal polso e che la Panini ha ben pensato di coprire con il titolo della testata. Una copertina accattivante. E qui terminano le buone notizie, perché i disegni di Dillon continuano a sapere di plastica e la storia di Way rimane quell’operazione di depauperazione del personaggio che era sembrata all’inizio. Tra dialoghi meccanici, retro-continuity ingarbugliata e colpi di scena che non sorprendono, persino un personaggio carismatico per natura come la vedova nera esce sbiadita.
Una domanda a chi possiede la serie in originale: nella seconda delle due parti, il colonnello Dugan dice ai suoi soldati “Avete le spalle coperte. Il mio, invece, starà seduto qui a sorvegliare il mio prigioniero”. Anche la frase inglese giocava tra “spalle” ed un’altra parte del corpo, ed è stata semplicemente tradotta malino? Ditemi di sì, vi prego.

La strada tortuosa #4 – cose malvagie (The Winding Way #4 – Wicked Things, da Nightcrawler #10 del novembre 2005). La serie si riconferma una lettura piacevole, disegnata discretamente, che senza troppi scossoni riporta alcuni graditissimi vecchi personaggi e che, almeno in questa parte, ho trovato ben gestita anche nel rapporto dinamico tra la narrazione e il dialogo. Un prodotto carino, ma non basta a tenere in piedi una testata.

Confesso che ho saltato gli articoli editoriali di coda, che avevano l’aria di pubblicità tranquillamente leggibile anche sul sito. Laddove mi fossi persa qualcosa, fatemelo sapere.

    Sì, ho letto le note finali. Anche se trovo che LucaS, da bravo redattore, sia sempre troppo incline a trasformare gli errori degli autori in stimolanti e ponderati indizi su importanti mutamenti di continuity. Per fortuna ha smesso di dare ad House of M la colpa di tutto…
