Attesissimo ritorno dell’acclamato studio e profonda delusione. Un tratto pesante, una cattiva stampa del disegno ed un lettering grossolano sicuramente non aiutano la lettura, davvero difficile, di un manga il cui soggetto è ben lontano da capolavori come Tokyo Babylon, RGveda, X-1999 o lo stesso Rayearth, che pure non sembrava all’altezza.
Già l’idea è balzana: riunire in un fumetto alcuni personaggi dei loro capolavori. Ci si trova quindi con Shaoran e l’insopportabile e insulsa Sakura di Card Captor Sakura appunto, Soma di RGveda (ma era morta!), Arashi e Sorata di X-1999, Chii di Chobits e Mokona di Rayearth. Sì, Mokona. L’insopportabile pupazzetto.
La storia? Pessima. Sakura, a seguito di un incantesimo malvagio, ha perso la memoria ed i suoi ricordi si sono sparpagliati per le dimensioni. In compagnia di Kurogane da un Giappone in cui c’è anche Soma e di Fay da un regno di Selece in cui c’è anche Ashura (già confusi?), Shaoran dovrà viaggiare con la guida di Mokona attraverso le dimensioni parallele per recuperare le piume della memoria di Sakura.
Si preannuncia quindi uno scenario di autoreferenziali what if…? attraverso le precedenti creazioni delle autrici. No, grazie.
