#Spooktober 27 – The Darkest Dungeon

I’m talking about the first one. The second one is… well, I don’t know what the second one is. Released in 2016, this game mixed medieval elements with a Lovecraftian atmosphere of epic proportions where you have to lead a party of four adventurers through a set of creepy explorations in order to gain resources, hire more adventurers and eventually break the curse looming over the estate. But adventurers will go insane, facing the horrors looming below (and above, honestly), so you’ll have to tread carefully.

Memorable characters from history and legend, such as the leper crusader and the plague doctor, will face their nightly dose of horrible foes only to return to the hamlet and seek solace in… a good flagellation? A night at the asylum? A sip of laudanum at the inn? Pick your poison. Literally.
