Rams – Bengals

Per la prima volta live, dal campo del Saini, in questa bella giornata primaverile (la primavera di Manila), i nostri Rams affrontano i Bengals di Brescia, avversari storici, in qiuesto campionato invernale che a me continua a sembrare un’idea un po’ del cazzo.
Il campo è una palude ma i Rams, che vengono inbattuti da una sequenza documentata nello storico del blog, sono provetti nuotatori, ben abituati a giocare nella fanga in stile “Mai dire banzai”. I Bengals tuttavia, per quanto abituati al campo sintetico, si presentano in forma, con braccioli e paperelle di gomma, e ingaggiano i campioni in casa in un’appassionante partita di pallanuot… ehm… di football.
Ore 14:40 – un bellissimo touchdown Rams in volata annullato – con penalità – per holding dell’attacco verde.
Ore 14:54 – il bagnin… ehm… l’arbitro si fa perdonare concedendo ai Rams un down controverso al quarto tentativo.
Ore 14:56 – termina il primo quarto sullo 0 – 0 e le cose si fanno complicate: nella red zone lato Linate si è insediata una comunità di alligatori, e il numero sulla maglia del quarterback verde è occultato da uno spesso strato di argilla.

Ore 15:03 – Comportamento antisportivo dei Bengals in attacco (pescavano con la dinamite nelle loro trenta yarde): quindici miglia nautiche di penalità.
Ore 15:12 – Rams in difesa e la pioggia aumenta, per gradire. Two minutes warning. La flag dell’arbitro ha i colori del girasole. L’interno, del girasole.
Ore 15:17 – Time-out arbitrale su un quasi touchdown Bengals, nervosismo, doppi comportamenti antisportivi, acqua nelle orecchie. Time-out. Quaranta secondi alla fine, ore 15:21, terzo tentativo Bengals sulle cinque yarde che, sulle 15:22, diventa un touchdown (con comportamento antisportivo Bengals). Con trasformazione da due. Ore 15:24: Rams 0, Bengals 8. Fine secondo quarto. O forse no?
Ore 15:28 – un lancio da millemila yarde e un altro ben piazzato portano i Rams in touchdown. Rams 6, Bengals 8, a nove secondi dalla fine
