Paolo Borin, Carlo Zanchetta – IFC, processi e modelli digitali openBIM per l’ambiente costruito

Questo mese sono usciti diversi titoli relativi al BIM, sul panorama italiano, e ho deciso di prendere una pausa dalla solita selezione di “libri per allargare gli orizzonti”. Questo lunedì vi consiglio quindi un altro testo a lungo atteso, dopo il manuale per Revit MEP di Simone Pozzoli. Si tratta di un manuale sulla Grande Bestia, l’IFC, su cui spicca il nome di Carlo Zanchetta.

L’industria delle costruzioni è caratterizzata da indici di innovazione tecnologica tra i più bassi nei settori industriali.
Il processo edilizio si presenta come fortemente parcellizzato, a fronte di una variabilità geometrica e prestazionale dei propri prodotti sempre differente.
Una delle soluzioni proposte risiede nella corretta gestione interoperabile delle informazioni, che aiuti a strutturare processi e linguaggi comuni, atti ad abilitare procedure di risparmio di tempi e costi nell’intero ciclo di vita degli organismi edilizi.
Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) è il formato dati interoperabile che l’industria delle costruzioni ha adottato per gli scambi informativi, al fine di rendere operativo ed efficace il cosiddetto openBIM.

Tra i nomi sulla copertina, non solo quello di Carlo Zanchetta, professionista e intellettuale per il quale nutro profondissima stima personale: laddove non bastasse a garanzia, trovate anche i nomi di Yoseph Bausola Pagliero, Michele Carradori e Andrea Fronk, tra gli altri, tutti attivissimi nel settore.
