"All this he saw, for one moment breathless and intense, vivid on the morning sky; and still, as he looked, he lived; and still, as he lived, he wondered."

The Bitch is Back

Ok. It was necessary and it was constructive, almost educational, but sabbatical’s over.

English version at the bottom of the page.

Almost a year ago, I was crawling into my shell to adust my career goals. It’s a fact, by now: I shift career every six years.

I was taking a break, as I do. Meaning that I was dealing with just a bunch of projects, instead of dealing wih a gazillion of them at the same time. Still, it was a break. It was good, as I was saying. But now Sabbatical’s over.

If you go looking for me on LinkedIn and Twitter, you’ll find my profiles back online, alive and kicking. I also have a new Instagram profile. Yay.

Inevitably, I’m coming back with a leftover of some of the old activities, but a goal for this year is to reinvent the way we tell stories and we teach tech in the built environment. I’m talking about BIM, but also about the broader subject of digitization. Which is a buzzword, and always cool.

I’ve got me some shiny new projects to launch. I’ll do it one by one, without any rush. For now, I’m just here to tell you that I’m back. Minus five years to the next career shift.

I’m still standing.

Though I think I get what Lem was trying to do with this novel, I also understand the many people whose reaction has been “what the fuck did I just read?” The novel is about alienation, social estrangement, post-traumatic stress and culture shock, which are

“Wonder what’s goin’ on in the church?” Gilman Marlow stopped and stared slowly over at the church. It was a little white building with five pointed windows on each side. The windows were all streaming with light now, and the bright light showed from the
