Straordinaria presentazione di Flavio Caroli allo spazio Krizia di Milano, ieri sera. Protagonista il suo nuovo libro Arte d’oriente, Arte d’occidente, edito da Electa. Stupendo ed emozionante il percorso tracciato dal critico: l’europa e l’iconoclasta mondo bizantino, la controversa e presunta iconoclastia del mondo arabo, l’affascinante iconofilia dell’India, la Cina, il Giappone e – da quei lontani paesi – il ritorno alla nostra cultura che ad un certo punto della propria storia ha sentito il bisogno di abbeverarsi laggiù. Oltre a questo, un’occasione per risentire una delle più belle pagine di critica mai scritte ovvero quella al Davide con la testa di Golia di Caravaggio. Un’emozione che da sola riscatta tutte le sciocchezze scritte ogni anno in fatto di arte. Comprese le mie qui. Almeno spero.
