Cornelio #5 – Fantasmi all’opera


Cornelio esce dall’autoconclusività dei numeri e si avvia alla conclusione, lasciandoci con un episodio che conclude la vicenda contingente (con il suo usuale tocco noir che deliziosamente stravolge ogni possibilità di un lieto fine) ma non quella dei personaggi principali. E ora che Vanessa è in prigione, vittima di un scherzoso ma terribilmente non implausibile complotto televisivo? Rabbrividiamo.
Cos’è questa storia? Beh, innanzitutto è – come tutte le altre – un bell’omaggio ad un cliché della letteratura del terrore, ovvero il teatro infestato. Una bambina crudele, una nonna velata, una maledizione archiettata ad arte, un demone assassino, personaggi con un oscuro passato, un omicidio in scena: c’è proprio tutto ciò che si possa chiedere. Secondariamente, è una buona prova di umorismo e autoironia (meravigliose le comparse di Snoopy, del Fantasma Formaggino e di Cattivik), ben scritto e ben disegnato, ben concepito, ben sviluppato.
Insomma, non c’è che dire: Smocovich ha fatto centro anche questa volta e Francesco Bonanno fa un lavoro più che onesto, con qualche picco di delizia (non ultimo il fantasma formaggino).

A proposito, spero non vi siate persi i loro auguri di Natale.
