L’arte erotica dice addio a Venezia


La notizia è un po’ vecchia, ma tutti gli impegni di questi giorni me l’avevano fatta perdere. Chiude il museo d’arte erotica di Venezia. Anzi, ha già chiuso (almeno a giudicare dalla desolante scritta "Servizio sospeso" sulla home page del museo).

In quella Venezia definita da Apollinaire «Sexe femelle de l’Europe», nella città dei giochi di maschere che ispirò il "doppio sogno" di Schnitzler, nella patria di Casanova e delle cortigiane rosse, nell’unica città che ha un ponte intitolato al seno femminile, un museo d’arte erotica era quantomai appropriato. Opere del passato e rivisitazioni di artisti contemporanei erano visibili negli oltre 700 metri quadrati (su quattro piani) del prestigioso palazzo a due passi da piazza San Marco. Organizzato da responsabili coinvolti anche nel Musée de l’Erotisme di Parigi, il museo era un esempio di stile e buon gusto, nonostante il tema periglioso, e avrebbe potuto costituire il fiore all’occhiello di una città straordinariamente bella, che Proust definiva come una sultana dietro veli di pietra. Disgraziatamente l’affitto troppo alto e la scarsa affluenza di pubblico, dovuta anche al divieto di affiggere pubblicità in pubblico, hanno decretato la prematura fine di questa iniziativa. Peccato.
